Ignatius I. Uvah is the Deputy Executive Secretary (University Education) at the National Universities Commission where he coordinates the activities of the Departments of Academic Standards; Inspection and Monitoring; and Research and Innovation. Prior to 1994 he held academic posts at Ahmadu Bello University, including head of department and Professor of Entomology. In 1992 he was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. Professor Uvah studied at Ahmadu Bello University and later earned his PhD in Insect Ecology from the University of Cambridge.
