Kwesi Yankah is Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana where he is also the Professor of Linguistics. His academic area of specialization is ethnography of communication. He has served as Dean of Students, Head of Linguistics Department, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts. He has won several fellowships at universities in Europe and North America including University of Birmingham, Stanford University, Northwestern University, and University of Pennsylvania. Elected to the Fellowship of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1999, he served as the Academy’s Honorary Secretary 2002-2005. He was educated at University of Ghana and Indiana University.
